The lights are on! On 28th September 2020, our CEO, Mauro Carbone, and our Operation Manager, Simone Carelli, welcomed the first team of workers into our new factory.
With this second plant, #Ecopol is the largest producer in Europe and among the largest in the world.
In his welcome message to the staff, our CEO, Mauro Carbone, recalled the importance of this structure in the water-soluble film market, underlining that this is only the first phase of an expansion and investment program that will continue in 2021, with the installation of new lines and the further expansion of this brand new factory, for an estimated investment of 20M € over the period.
Ecopol currently employs 60 people, with the aim of reaching 100 employees by the end of 2021.

On the 28.01.2020, Ecopol has received the certification for the production of Mass Balance Water Soluble Biodegradable films. This is another step of the commitment of Ecopol for a green economy. Indeed our utilization of palm oil derivate is already very limited in our production, but we have decided to increase our level of eco-responsibility to a further step and apply the Mass Balance RSPO (Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil) supply chain model.

It is here, in this wonderful landscape in the heart of Tuscany, that today, our CEO, Mauro Carbone, has launched the works for our new plant.
